THE REGULATIONS OF `SWIMMING OF HOPE 2019’

 
Rules and Regulations of the Competition:

The aim: to contribute to maintainance and solidarity support action for people with oncological diseases, and to organize a traditional international event – the competition ­‘Swimming of Hope’ for different age social groups. This year`s moto is ‘Let us all swim into Hope’.

 The objectives:

  1. To raise the awarenes of healthy lifestyle.
  2. To inform the public about the free of charge aid at the oncological centre.
  3. To promote swimming sports.

Time and Place of Competition Performance:
15th of June 2019, Palanga 25 m, 8 lane indoor swimming pool with electronic timing system. Address: Kretingos g. 23, Palanga.

Chief Referee of the competition: Mečislovas Doviakovskij,

Chief Secretary: Vilius Srėbalius.

Participants of the Competition: the copmpetition is individual. The competition is open for all from 7 up to 18 years old who can swim, from 18 up to 24 years old, 25 years old and older swimmers, Lithuanian and foreign nationals, who have ended their active career in sports, and have paid an entry fee. Each participant may take part in no more than 2 events in "long distance" events - 200m medley, 400m freestyle, 100m medley and no more than 2 events in 50m sessions.

Participant`s Support donnation shall be paid via a bank transfer to Klaipėda Masters Swim Club ‘Nendrė’ (Company code 193183543) account LT467300010002329168, Swedbank 73000. The participants` fee for athletes from 7 up to 18 years old and 65+ - 10 EUR, from 19 to 64 years old - 20 EUR, for athletes with disabilities - 5 EUR.

Awards:. The winners and prize winners of each race will be awarded with medals in each age group. The top 5 of women and men will be provided with suveniers.

Cultural Programme: 15 EUR

Participants of the Competition are fully responsible for their own health and life in the course of the competition.

There shall be masters` age groups in accordance with the rules addopted by FINA as follows (25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59 etc.).

50 m backstroke for athletes with disabilities
50 m backstroke (Women/Men)

Awards – 50 m backstroke for athletes with disabilities

50 m breaststroke (Women/Men)
50 m freestyle (Women/Men)

100 m medley (Women/Men)
4x50 m mixed medley

Applications shall be accepted till June 12th 2019, possible changes may be till 18:00 on June 14th 2019. Any changes shall be sent in a free format, there is no need for an additional application.

On the day of the competition changes and new participants are not registered.
